世界視覺日 2017 | 奧比斯 買走黑暗

於2012年,世界衛生組織(世衛)綜合了全球39個國家近年進行的大型視力普查報告,並估算出全球視力受損(定義為呈現視力只有正常人的30%或以下)和失明(定義為呈現視力只有正常人的5%或以下)的人數。該報告指出全球約有2.85億人有視力受損的情況,當中3900萬是失明。這些數字顯示出全球仍有很多人活在黑暗中。

世界視覺日 2017

從2000年開始,每年10月的第2個星期4被名為世界視覺日(即2017年10月12號為本年的世界視覺日)。國際防盲機構、世衛和其他組織會於9月到10月舉辦一連串的活動使大眾關注到視力受損和失明是一個全球性的公共衛生問題。本年它們想向國際傳遞的主要訊息如下:

  • 全球大約有2.85億人有視力受損的情況,當中3900萬是屬於失明,其餘2.46億是屬於低視能。
  • 百分之90的失明患者是來自低收入國家。
  • 百分之80的視力受損情況是可避免、可治療和可預防的。
  • 令患者重拾視力和預防失明的發生是醫療保健中最具成本效益的措施之一。
  • 過去20年間,因眼部感染而導致的失明的患者大幅減少。
  • 全球大約有1900萬的小童有視力受損的情況。
  • 百分之65 視力受損的患者是50歲或以上,這個年齡組別現階段只佔全球百份之20的人口。
  • 隨着人口老化,因老年而引起視力受損的人口將會增加。

奧比斯與買走黑暗活動

奧比斯是一個國際性的非牟利醫療教育組織,它的使命是掃除可預防的盲疾。它亦致力提升發展中國家眼科醫護人員的技術水準,期待受助地區的醫療夥伴能夠自行營運,為當地人提供可負擔、方便和可持續的優質眼科服務。從1982開始,奧比斯已在92個國家執行醫療任務,為多於2330萬名視力受損或失明的患者進行治療,並為當地多於32萬眼科醫護人員進行培訓。

奧比斯於每年9月到10月都會在香港以至全球舉辦一連串的活動,以嚮應世界視覺日,而「買走黑暗」便是活動之一。於買走黑暗活動中,奧比斯會與各大品牌及商戶合作,精選各式各樣的的黑色貨品作慈善義賣,當中全部或部份扣除成本的收益會撥捐奧比斯。

瑞士寶視光體驗中心亦一直關注大家眼部健康,所以希望藉著奧比斯的買走黑暗活動,為更多失明人士重見光明。於2017年9月1日至10月12日期間,凡於瑞士寶視光體驗中心購買瑞士寶全視線全天候瀘藍光鏡片,瑞士寶將捐出$50予奧比斯。希望各位擁躍參與此活動,為他人的光明帶來多一份希望。

Registration

We are in compliance with the requirements of COPPA (Childrens Online Privacy Protection Act), we do not collect any information from anyone under 13 years of age. Our website, products and services are all directed to people who are at least 13 years old or older.
